Burberry certainly know how to pick Britain's bright young things to front their campaigns!

Here Eddie Redmayne, star of the new film, My Week With Marilyn, also stars in the latest

Spring/ Summer 2012 Burberry Campaign alongside model and London socialite Cara Delevingne ahead of the film's Australian release.

In this true story, Redmayne plays Colin Clark alongside Michelle Williams in her Golden Globes Best Actress Award winning role as Marilyn Monroe. I saw a preview of the film tonight and I'm not a movie reviewer so I'll let you make up your own opinions about it, however it brings me to this story below.

Relax, unwind and have a little read as let's be honest, you don't have anything better to do right now than hear about a hot new male celebrity of the Gen Y inclination.

And for those of us who do not get the whole Ryan Gosling fanfare, we too need someone to swoon over, someone new and exciting and of all things, remarkably, someone with heaps and heaps of freckles!

I believe everyone in this life has a gift.

Even if it is something simple, we all have something we can do that no one else can take away from us. It's like a talent but different.

A talent takes time, practice, energy, sometimes support by partners/family/loved ones is needed in order for it to become fully fledged, the right environment etc. etc. However a gift can be called upon at any given moment. Tested by non-believers at the drop of a hat.

You can't fall over and break your talent and you can't lose your gift. It belongs just to you.

Mine is being able to recognise and remember faces.

For example I saw this girl recently and thought to myself, oh she looks familiar, where do I recognise her face from? I was just staring at her thinking about it and I managed to track her face back to having seen her about 6 years ago on a bus. I remembered she kept talking on her mobile phone really loud, having the most embarrassing conversation and because of her face I remembered it all, even details about what I was doing and wearing that day. Granted, over the years I have trained my brain to perfect this ability, however it has always been a part of me and comes easily, working in many different and mostly helpful ways.

I can see someone, anyone and immediately recognise if they look like someone else. Finding people's dopplegangers so to speak. It may be a small thing and not necessarily helpful but it can freak people out how uncanny it can get and sometimes when the references are very detailed it can be interesting or incredibly funny. For example tonight at the movies my friend sat next to a guy who looked exactly like George Bluth Sr. from the comedy show Arrested Development with a bit of Larry David thrown in and I couldn't stop staring at him. It was hilarious.

I also love how it works because I am terrible with names. It is the best PR gift ever!

No matter what, if I've met someone, I will know their face and won't forget it, (their name is a different story) so I can usually swing it to remember enough about the last time I saw them based on their face to help the conversation flow, if needed.

It helps me with Style Voyeur too, with the models backstage and the people on the street and at events. There is nothing worse than a model who isn't willing to take a risk in front of my lens or a fashion event regular who always looks amazing but says no to photographs. Forgetting people like that can really take the wind out of your sails at intimate events.

A friend once put me up to doing a Harvard University test that is used for their research on the subject of face blindness because I swear by this gift of mine. I scored 100% in face recognition. You can do some similar tests yourself online here if you are at all interested in this.

So the whole point of what I am trying to get to is...I bought the latest Vogue Australia the other day and in a completely unusual turn of events, have been too busy to give it more than a minutes attention. I literally only flicked through the ads when I first got it and because I have been busy lately, it has been in my handbag ever since.

So as soon as the movie started playing tonight, I recognised the male character, Colin Clark from somewhere. Immediately it became my mission to figure out where. It took me about 30 minutes but I ended up thinking it was in a Burberry ad that I saw him. I then discovered Emma Watson was in the movie too, Watson is a known Burberry model and ambassador so as soon as the film ended I was dying to see if I could find him in my Vogue and see if I was right. While I waited for my friend outside the bathroom, I got out the mag from my bag and there he was in the ad and I thought, god these casting directors certainly know what they're doing!

It may not seem like anything really to you, but I had maybe seen the ad for 3 seconds maximum and to me it feels absolutely triumphant to put my finger on these face tests I give myself. Training the brain to recognise more and more every day. It also pays off in little ways every day and is my very own little gift that I am proud of. We all have one. You may know it or just need to think about it and hone it a little. I wish I could know what yours is. TELL ME HERE!!

As the movie doesn't screen in Australia until February 16th, I bet it is only a matter of time until this young talent is causing girls to swoon all over the world. He will be the best new alternative to Ryan Gosling any of us (with sense) could ever hope for!

I took this photograph a while ago at the ECU Fashion & Textiles Graduation show and have wanted to post it for ages but only ended up featuring the models backstage on the night and so haven't had the chance.

Despite the difference in attire, he bares a striking resemblance to Karl Lagerfeld and in the spirit of necessary haste for the awareness of Karl's latest collection, in partnership with Net-a-Porter, I thought he makes for the perfect reminder. Apparently Karl said he wanted to watch a fashion show on a plane instead of a boring old movie.

And so the elaborate set for Chanel Couture SS12 was born.

The fashion took inspiration from 1960's flight attendants mixed with the futuristic idea of space travel and with sequins galore, this collection is every bit as couture as it should be.

Beards were seen on many male models' faces this season and having had his for quite a while now, Tom could have quite possibly started this trend. You think not? Well he certainly rocks it like the best of 'em, I love it!

Moschino (above & below)

I am not a huge fan of red velvet, however it appeared on almost every runway for Autumn/Winter 2012 and with at least one rouge velvet look showing up in most collections in Milan, there is no turning your back on this one.

Whether it were trousers, blazers or complete head to toe looks, in my opinion this trend works best when worn with decadence in mind. I like the loose bow-tie and rouge blazer above, in-fact Moschino's treatment of the look almost makes me reconsider my opinion on this trend almost all together.

Costume National (above & below) created an innovative solution for wearing your jacket while at the same time not being hindered by it. The jacket as cape look was also seen at Burberry, Valentino and Dolce & Gabbana. This design concept from Costume National was ground-breaking. I now wish every jacket I own has handles like this!

The Turtleneck

Funnily enough the other models had to have fake beards and moustaches made for them for the show.

You can't really see his turtleneck here, however they were back in a big way for fall and I even have double proof that in Europe they are considered super chic - with this video direct from Milan.

Check this video out, titled 'What They Wore' featuring the men who attend the shows in Milan. Tom is featured at the very start and quoted as saying he is wearing 'a nice turtleneck.' This boy knows what's what, so there you have it, no doubts to be had.

There were more practical trends for menswear this season than I have ever seen before. Although it has been coined the Year of The Suit by Tim Blanks from style.com., the parka, luxe sweats and turtlenecks also featured prominently. Here we have the Raincheater adding a utilitarian element to the runway and showing us that fashion knows no bounds.

Although the luxury market has not been hugely affected by the recession, in-fact luxury fashion brands remain a stronghold in the Global Financial Crisis but this would also be because designers have evolved, stayed relevant and offered up some more practical elements each season. Take the raincheater for example. This is a truly bizarre garment, however the need is strong in Europe and wouldn't you rather have a water-proof, wind-proof lamb skin one by Calvin Klein and match head to toe than wear a bin liner? I'm sure the Milanese men out there would agree.

This reminds me so much of a boy I know who works on film sets and wears snippings of gaffa tape on his shirt all day incase he needs it. I love this look for that reason, very cool and in film, very practical too haha.

Love the Serial Killer/ American Psycho/ Batman vibe to it all. The entire collection was like this apart from the odd sweater, Jil Sander's man is VERY intimidating and un-touchable for Autumn/Winter.

Parka Pandemonium

To say there is going to be a parka pandemonium on our hands for the upcoming season is truly an understatement. Parkas (aka anoraks) are everywhere on the runways of Milan for menswear autumn/winter 2012 and while this trend is very practical for Europe and the cooler climates, it may not work for the Australian winter. The only way this trend can be pulled off, is if the parka is worn over a full suit - of the super luxe variety .

Again Burberry lead the way on this one with an interesting mix of textures and textiles.The contrast between the luxe suit and the sporty parka is what makes this look. Unless you have the ability to incorporate an eccentric pair of shorts to the style with perfection - If you can't handle the heat then don't try this one at home.

Gotham City

Think firstly of the opening scene from Batman Begins, directed by Christopher Nolan (2005) where the young Bruce Wayne witnesses his parents getting shot and killed by a mugger on the streets of Gotham City. The vibe, the suits, Bruce Wayne Senior's tux on their way to the opera, 1980's New York. Then when Bruce Jr. grows up to be the wealthy character played by Christian Bale, it's all relevant to this trend.

Although sometimes it is not fashion related, this year I started working in the world of Film & TV and I absolutely love it!

I think it is so necessary to constantly challenge yourself with work and my god, working on film is certainly an epic challenge! When I first started I almost laughed that I sometimes thought I had a really hard job in fashion styling, well film work can sometimes be 10 times more full-on but it is also incredibly fulfilling and so so much fun!

I figure if I know how it all works in the Film & TV world, one day, maybe I will be able to be the Costume Designer of something like Gossip Girl or Sex & The City (or if that doesn't do it for you), a Tarantino or Rodriguez. That's the way I reason it anyway and I am definitely enjoying the ride.

I am usually the Wardrobe/ Costume Designer (obviously), however this time I came on board with Writer/Director/Producer Ethan Marrell as Art Director (including costumes) & Production Manager.

Funnily enough I sort of hate Christmas, all my family are in Germany and so Christmas here is not a big deal to us - although I did love the smell of having a real tree each year, it is rather ironic because I ended up becoming obsessed with the Christmas decorations and I think Christmas cheer is possibly infectious (and indeed sickeningly sweet). I ended up spending about 3 solid days doing the set design and the fact that I got to listen to terribly loud Turbonegro, Link Wray and Morrissey whilst doing the decorations (instead of being forced to listen to pathetic carols) has possibly changed my perception of Christmas forever - it was definitely a highlight for me.

As this was a production aimed at children, Ethan and I decided the set would become an Australian Christmas Wonderland complete with 10 Christmas trees and thousands of decorations. I love the imagination that comes with being a child, I think I will always see myself as a little kid in a way and so this was the perfect job for me. However, let's be real, no Christmas rock'n'roll music video is complete without a picture of Elvis clad in a Christmas hat and of course Lennon had to make an appearance!

You are never supposed to use real flowers in film as they die immediately under the lights, however I HATE fake flowers and these were very fresh lilies and actually ended up being fine for the continuity because it takes lilies ages to open when they are brand new.

This photo was taken by Julia Ngeow Photography of the cameras. We actually had 3 cameras rolling at all times which was so good for the production schedule and one of the cameras was filming for Today Tonight .

The 'mushroom' in the top left corner on the bookshelf is one of my oldest toys from my childhood haha.

Some little pot plants I got at the local farmers market added a touch of 'homeliess' to the otherwise bleak back-yard.

Ethan is on the floor testing out the scene before getting Pete to act. He says a Director should always try what he expects his actors to do.

I fell in love with our doggy, Rogan. He actually knew when the camera was rolling, it was bizarre! If you said, "Rogan, come and have a photo," he would actually come over and look into the camera and pose. I am not kidding! It was so strange. Rogan has also appeared in Cloudstreet, talk about show puppy! Thanks to our dog wrangler, Jaqui Howle.

@ Zekka Gallery Presented by Muse Bureau

Rory Dax Paton revealed his noteworthy debut solo exhibition of artworks at Zekka, King Street on Friday night. Each work features ink, watercolour, gouache, pastel, charcoal and pencil on paper.

At only 30 years of age, Paton's expressionist works were surprisingly mature in nature and rich in culture. The historical traditions of the great Chinese freehand calligraphy paintings are obviously an influence to him and added a sense of gravitas to the works. What made these pieces exceptional and, indeed modern, was his coherent use of colour set against what would have otherwise been a completely monochromatic presentation. There was a touch of sexual innuendo which appealed to me and we all know, in any genre, context or medium, I always love an explosion of bright colour, so there certainly were a few favourites in there for me.

If you have not yet been to this exhibition, I strongly recommend it - with an eye to purchase.

In these current economic times a solid investment is not to be scoffed at and a purchase of one of these remarkable works by Paton, will not only be a cherished commodity, but surely also, an asset for life.

The exhibition runs from Saturday 3rd December - 21st December 10:00am - 5:00pm at Zekka Cafe (closed Sundays).

Jaxon Reibel (above & below)

Tonight was the Central Institute Fashion & Textiles Graduation Show and it was absolutely superb! The designers coming out of Central Institute are insanely cool. I have to say I wasn't that surprised, my styling assistant Jaxon Reibel (who I have worked with since I started my styling career four years ago) is part of this graduating class and he is a force to be reckoned with. Plus the students were all mentored by Garth Cook, Kirsten Shadbolt and Robin Alexander, who are some serious local talent (Garth is currently in the UK working for Mary Katrantzou, hello!) Jaxon had also informed me that his graduating peers were sensational and he certainly wasn't wrong or being bias.

I love covering the grad shows, it is such a privilege to get the chance to see the up-and-coming designers have their chance to take the limelight and it also gives me a chance to work with the models, which is really my favourite part of Style Voyeur, if I boil it down.

Tonight there were tonnes of models who were all from Chadwick. Some were brand new and just used for the night as an opportunity to get a taste of modelling out of the classes they attended while growing up, and some were the seasoned professionals.

Like Bill Cunningham, I too do not consider myself a photographer. He says it is the subjects that MAKE his photographs and I totally agree, it truly is. Some models just have 'it' and 'it' cannot be taught. It basically comes down to being photogenic and confident in front of the lens and tonight there were some special moments. Obviously as time goes on, I too get better at taking the photos but no amount of practice can lead to capturing those moments that make a photograph pop with extraordinary charm.

I hope you have as much fun looking at them as I do taking them. The pleasure is all mine xxx

I tried to tell this model how much I thought she looked like Hailee Steinfeild from the Coen Brother's film True Grit but she had no idea what I was talking about. I was trying to get a shot of her hair and Dirk leaned in, it has become my new favourite photo and has a real vibe to it.

It is sort-of cinematic to me and looks like it could almost be a couple from the old world and she is a peasant and he is a knight who is completely in love with her. She is in love with him also but she is unsure of whether she can give herself to him completely because her family have warned her that she will be beheaded if she steps above her station and is only a pawn in one of his games haha or something like that. Definitely not a usual model-y photo. I love it!

This designer, Justine Nobles' work has been picked up by Zekka and will be stocked there soon. A true reflection of the sophistication that we saw by the designers tonight. Actually quite incredible.

When one of your best friends is a hot new designer, it gives you certain access to go behind the scenes of their life and see the wonderful things a huge amount of talent can bring a person. I have said it for about 4 years now, Jaime Lee is one to watch and I am soooo proud of her latest achievement!!

This weekend Jaime was backstage at the 25th ARIA awards on an assignment to dress NZ based, Kimbra, the artist featured on recent smash hit single 'Somebody That I Used To Know' with Gotye.

There was no media allowed backstage and Jaime was quite literally chilling with music legends last night. Jaime told SV that when Kimbra was dressed in her first look, Delta was backstage with them and absolutely loved the gown (hands of Goodrem, you wish)...sorry. Joel and Benji Madden did a full step back and double take when Kimbra walked past with their full camera crew in tow and Stevie Nicks was backstage with them all, sharing a room with Gotye and his band.

Jaime spent this morning with Kimbra, Gotye and Jaime's own PR (Mother & Father) at Triple J and was asked to come along while the artists got interviewed for Australian and NZ radio. Jaime styled Kimbra for her interviews in her SS 11/12 collection and afterwards they had a debrief about last night, discussing what will happen next.
