I like the idea of rolled-up men's slacks worn as shorts for summer. In theory I wouldn't think this look would be achievable without creasing or the awkward appearance I have experienced when doing my own 'roll-up job' on oversized pieces in the past - however the thin material of these trousers makes it possible.

This is Ruby Mariani the fantastic award winning designer who has been featured on Style Voyeur for her Seduisant et Repousant collection and graduation show at LINEUP Fremantle Prison (see archives).
I adore her style and in particular the bag. I have been searching for a replacement studded handbag for ages as I got my first one out of sheer luck by stumbling into a very un-fashionable store in Bentley about a year ago. Unfortunatley it broke after 3 weeks and most of the studds have fallen off, however I am still using it and will until I can find a suitable new, very similar black leather one with silver, yes silver not gold studds. It is also of the over-the-shoulder variety like Ruby's self made one (pictured).
When you are styling you need a handbag that can go over your shoulders as you cannot be inhibited by it when working and most of the time need to carry everything on you as you are constantly on the go. As you can tell I am jealous of this uber-cool one above. Luckily Superfine have now released some so it is on my to do list to check them out. A handbag line by Ruby is welcomed anytime by Style Voyeur!

I never used to like silver and gold together and am not generally a huge fan of gold (although of course it cannot be denied it has it's place in fashion's history/ future), however gold and silver together can be done and done well. Take Tiffany and Co for example they often release silver and gold pieces and it looks good if not even for the simple attraction of 'opposites' going together. Dani here has wrapped a gold necklace around a long silver chain worn as a bracelet and it works perfectly to go with her badge, ring and shoes (above and below).

For the guys who just cannot handle the concept of buying shorts. Rolling up your jeans is the way to go.
Adding to this is that crisp white is looking really good.
Men are going to have to then face the dilemma of what shoes to wear without socks. Personally if i am brave enough to let anyone see my legs it will be all about the black and white brogues. Or i could just go insane and go for some mock military style spats.
Ruby's bag is seriously hot. Anything you can stow your wallet in that can be classed as a lethal weapon is totally worth having.
