Yallingup

Peacock@Purist j(email).jpgTwo male peacocks came to visit us at home today.
I have never seen such an incredible creature in the flesh in all my life.

IMG_6130.JPGNew Yorker Jared caught my eye for his un-canny resemblance to Leonardo DiCaprio. I just love his look thus the multiple images.

IMG_6132.JPG
Jared wears custom made Selima glasses originally for Jack Spade New York, Uniqlo jeans and a Freeman's Sporting Club shirt from his local Manhattan store.

IMG_6143.JPGLocal Yalls pals.
(L-R) Kylie wears all vintage and Leoni & Vonk necklace available at Yallingup Galleries. Gemma wears Rag and Bone top, Cheap Monday jeans and Chloe sunglasses from Santa. Lokulea wears ST John Sport dress and Nine West ankle boots.

IMG_6152.JPGGemma is originally from Yallingup and now lives in New York City (she is married to Jared - above). Her friends told me she has hit the big time working as a model in the city and is signed to Viviens in Perth and Sydney and Trump in NYC. W.A. girls kick it!

In my opinion it is next to never that you see beachwear such as Boardies and a T rocked well but I think Tim, wearing Billabong, has done a pretty good job of proving that myth to be, well, just that.

IMG_6139.JPGIt has pretty much every great place on the planet on it so it has to be cool!
It reminds me a bit of the old Louis Vuitton graffiti bags back when they were cool (the ones before Marc Jacobs and Richard Prince's collaboration).

Back to Perth tomorrow but I have to say I have been blown away by the inspiration I have found in a place that is pretty much geographically at the end of the earth.

Now THAT IS what I deem an insightful take on things. What I would advise though is talking to other people involved in the scene and bring to day any conflicting points of view and then update your blog or create a new article for us to read. I hope you'll take my ideas, I'm looking forward to it! Try to cover off on some graffiti characters as well if possible, they're quite popular at the moment.
